Cardboard Kayak Race
Watch as brave souls race their kayaks, made of only cardboard, duck-tape and paint, down Indian Creek! The race runs from Kimball Ave to 6th Ave along the creek. Rubber Duck Race
Purchase a Duck for $5 at Indian Creek Festival and watch as the ducks race down Indian Creek. First, second, and third place ducks receive cash prizes! Some other lucky ducks will win prizes and gift certificates. The last duck that crosses the finish line gets a special prize! All proceeds benefit Caldwell High School Boosters.
Kids Activities
The University of Idaho Extension Office and 4-H Club will host a children’s tents with several different activities. Stop by to complete a craft and learn more about 4-H in Caldwell and Canyon County.
Treasure Valley Tomato Taste Off
Did you grow an awesome tomato this summer? Enter it in the 3nd Annual Tomato Taste Off! Tasting and voting will be from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM Be sure to check out the Master Gardners at their information tables with great tips on everything tomato: pruning, preserving, transplanting and more!
HOW TO ENTER: Entries can be dropped off at the Canyon County Extension Office, 501 Main St, Caldwell on Friday September 20th from 1:00 PM-4:30 PM or bring them to the master gardener festival booth from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Chalk the Block
This sidewalk chalk art contest has a twist! A real person must be incorporated into the drawing (the artist or another person). The ‘Pure Imagination’ Chalk the Block contest is hosted and sponsored by Caldwell Fine Arts and prizes are awarded for under 10 (1st = $25), 10 – 16 (1st = $50), and 16 to adult (1st =$100), plus gift certificates for runners-up! Winners will be announced before the Cardboard Kayak Race at 2:00 pm. Must be present to win. Sidewalk spaces are limited and pre-registration is encouraged. Bike Rodeo
Bring your little one and their bicycle to the Bike Rodeo hosted by the City of Caldwell Caldwell Planning & Zoning Department. Your child will learn the rules of the road on a closed course as well as the importance of wearing a helmet and always following Bike Etiquette when on their bikes. Volunteers will teach children throughout the day.
Fireman's Breakfast
Eat breakfast at Indian Creek Plaza. Proceeds benefit the Firemen's Burnout Fund! $5 Breakfast Includes: pancakes, sausage, eggs, and all the fixin's!
Indian Creek Car Show & Shine
Join us for the annual downtown Caldwell car show & shine at Indian Creek Festival. This FREE car show is open to ALL MAKES, ALL MODELS & ALL YEARS! The car show will take place on Main St. & 7th St. Registration begins at 7am at the Humana Registration Booth. Car show entrance on the corner of Kimball & Main St.
Sock Hop with The Original Rocketeers Band
Jump-n-Jive to live music by The Original Rocketeers at Indian Creek Plaza! Costumes are encouraged for this fun 50s themed night in Downtown Caldwell. Food trucks will be on-site for dinner and beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase at the Indian Creek Plaza Shoppe. Live music begins at 7PM.
Indian Creek Festival Car Cruise
Have you ever wanted to drive the wrong way? All cars are welcome to drive ‘Backwards on Blaine’ at the the 2019 Indian Creek Festival Car Cruise sponsored by TitleOne! Registration is required to participate in the car cruise, but FREE! 5:00 to 7:45PM Registration & Staging at TVCC Parking Lot. 7:00-9:00PM Controlled Cruise on Blaine St.
Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory Movie
Join us to kick off Indian Creek Festival with the film that inspired this year's 'Pure Imagination' theme. The film will begin at 8pm and is free to attend thanks to movie sponsor West Valley Medical Center! Make sure to bring your comfy chairs and a blanket. The plaza will be cool once the sun goes down.
Dog Parade
Dress your dog up in your 'Pure Imagination' themed costume for the Indian Creek Festival Dog Parade at the Caldwell Luxe Reel Theatre! Free registration begins at 6:30PM and the parade will begin at 7PM. Awards for the dog parade include Best in Show, Best Costume with 'Pure Imagination' Theme, Dog/Owner Look-Alike, and Best Trick.
