FARM TO FORK FARMERS’ MARKET
Our Market Accepts Quest Cards
Tuesdays, May 14 - September 24, 2024 • 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps, helps Idaho families buy healthy food. If you are eligible for SNAP, you will receive an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card, which is used like a debit card at the farmers market each week. The card uses money from a SNAP account set up for the eligible family to pay for food items. The benefits can only be used on eligible food purchases.
Quest cards, SNAP dollars, and EBT can be used to purchase tokens at our Information Booth. Tokens are available in $1 or $5 increments and can be used at any vendor selling eligible products. Your purchase will be rounded up to the closest dollar and change will not be given. Tokens purchased at the Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market do not expire and can only be used at official Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market events at Indian Creek Plaza.
DOUBLE UP FOOD BUCKS
Double Up Food Bucks provides participants in the SNAP program with a one-to-one match to purchase healthy, locally grown fresh fruits and vegetables, plus food bearing plants. That means when you use your Quest Card at the Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market to purchase tokens, you will receive double the amount! Ex: $5 charged to Quest Card, Receive $10 in tokens.
SENIOR FARMERS MARKET PRODUCE PROGRAM
The Senior Farmers Market Produce Program, funded by the Blue Cross of Idaho Foundation for Health and St. Luke’s, is the first program offered through the Idaho Farmers Market Association that offers senior-specific benefits at the Caldwell Farm to Fork Farmers’ Market.
How Does the Program Work: Seniors (one per household) are invited to participate weekly by visiting the program booth at the Caldwell Farm to Fork Market. Participants will receive a set of vouchers* to utilize like cash and purchase eligible produce items from participating market vendors. Participants are provided a dated punch card to bring weekly in exchange for the vouchers. Vouchers are valid only for each annual market season and do not carry over to future years.
*Voucher amount is dependent on total funding for each season and has ranged from $6-8
Program Eligibility: Seniors 60 years and older are eligible to participate, with a limit of one per household. Upon first visit, seniors are asked to provide a participation signature and complete a short and simple survey. Physical presence to obtain vouchers is required.
