  • Presented By: Nick Fasciano –Executive Director | Idaho Wildlife Federation

Elk hunting is woven into the fabric of Idaho's outdoor traditions, and public and private land have historically provided complementary habitat for our state's iconic wild elk herds. Recent decades have brought changes, with elk increasingly concentrated on private land during certain times of the year. This has led to frustrations on both sides, with public land hunters seeing fewer elk and private landowners suffering greater crop losses.

Join Idaho Wildlife Federation Executive Director, Nick Fasciano, for a discussion of how hunters, landowners, and agencies can work together to address these wildlife stewardship challenges.

  • Presented By: Clinton Miner | Sage to Sawtooth Bushcraft

Learn the basics of fire building and maintenance from Idaho’s own, Clinton Minor, founder of Sage to Sawtooth Bushcraft. For decades, Clinton has been sharing his passion (ok, obsession) for survival, trail craft, preparedness and bushcraft through in-person trainings, YouTube videos, blogs and even an online store full of gear made right here in Idaho. For over 50 years, he has been fine-tuning and constantly updating his craft for the benefit of others. His innovation in all things outdoor adventure products has made him a pillar in the survival community. Come learn how to prepare and maintain a fire because if you’re prepared, you’re never really lost.

  • Being outdoors with friends and family creates some of the best memories life has to offer. While hunting and fishing, some simply document these moments with a few pics. Not these guys. They’re all about capturing those lifetime memories through the process of specimen preservation.

Shaun and Kristie, owners of Pleasant Hill Taxidermy, lead us in an exhibition of the best process for preparing your freshly harvested animal prior to taking it to a taxidermist. Whether it’s a bird, fish, big game or small mammal, The Ryals have you covered. So, instead of framing that group photo, learn from the experts how to preserve your animal so you can remember that moment for a lifetime.
